Summary

Euro-Japan dictionary is a Japanese dictionary which supports not only 3 major European languages: English, French and German, but also 2 search modes: search through Internet or stand-alone. The latter is useful when the internet is not available or its connection is not free. Supported input methods for Japanese: Kanji (Chinese characters), Kana (Japanese characters), Romaji (Roman characters)

FAQ

When the Internet access is necessary?

Always for Internet search mode, once during a database initialization for Local search mode.

Do those 2 modes give the same results?

Yes, they come from the same database excepting for some cosmetic differences: Internet search mode shows organic relations between words and characters.

How to change the translation language?

By changing the default setting of your phone. Concretely, go to Home/Settings/Local & text/Select locale, then choose between English, French or German

Where I can find it?

Connect to Android Market with your android phone and search the program by typing as keyword "Euro-Japan". When the download is finished, it will be automatically installed on your android phone. Otherwise, you can download the program onto SD-card by clicking kanji.apk then you have to install it manually with an installer program.

Release Notes

Version 1 released on July 20, 2010

It is the first release of Euro-Japan dictionary.

Version 1.01 released on August 2, 2010

This version shows a cancel button on the progress bar besides some corrections of bugs. A new database for local search has been also uploaded so it is recommended to proceed a database initialization on your phone.

Version 1.02 released on August 15, 2010

The database files for local search are zipped so they should take less time to download with less transmission errors. They also include keywords like searches via Internet so the database on your phone should be reinitialized.

Version 1.03 released on August 16, 2010

Some corrections of bugs such as crashes of the program when a local search is launched without putting any characters on the search field.
